Okay which one of you took contract mode a little too seriously?
I can’t wait for my weekly Cody Showdy fix tomorrow!
He’s probably gonna die. We might as well talk about our favourite Joe Biden stories.
On Election Day in 2020, I kept looking at the vote count between classes at university. At first it looked like Biden was screwed but the mail-in votes came and saved his ass. I bought myself a Magnum ice cream to celebrate. r/JoeBiden was so wholesome back then. Still is.
Don’t jump the gun. He’s been vaccinated, likely better than the rest of us, and Covid has lost some of its punch since the early days. If Trump could survive that shit four years ago, when he was in worse health than Biden is now, I think Biden can make it.
That’s…dark. Like last words material.
If Joe somehow pulls through again, I think he’ll finally call it quits on the campaign and presidency. He literally said this.
Kamala Harris will be the first female, and more importantly, 47th President of the United States. We won’t have to worry about a treasonous rapist taking our beloved Agent’s number.
EDIT: Touché
Oh that’s beautiful.
Are you serious?
Sure, age and pre-existing medical conditions are a risk factor, but that doesn’t mean, that every old person will likely die from Covid. Even Biden himself has had it before in 2022 and didn’t kick the bucket back then. https://x.com/POTUS/status/1553451657748512768
(it’s 30 pages long, but easily readable. It’s basically a list. It’s one paragrapher per policy, well catalogued, smoothly presented. I highly recommend anyone to read it)
For those in the US that feel embarrassed by either Trump or Biden, be glad you don’t have this kind of politicians
Wanted to start bashing Microsoft again, but seems like they are not the culprit this time but CrowdStrike which’ software caused this.
Meanwhile Bangladesh has a seemingly intentional internet shutdown among escalating student protests.
AFP reported that 39 people have been killed in the clashes so far and the police in the capital Dhaka have banned all public rallies.
The students’ frustrations have centered on a policy that sets aside 30% of government job openings for family members of veterans from the 1971 war of independence from Pakistan.
Protesters say the quota system has excluded new job seekers in favor of supporters of Hasina, whose party led the movement to separate from Pakistan. They want the system to be replaced with a merit-based one.
Government jobs are highly sought after in Bangladesh and have taken on greater importance as the economy struggles to rebound after the pandemic and years of strong growth. The largely student-driven protests turned violent earlier this week and the Bangladesh’s main opposition party has joined in on the demonstrations.
Well Democrats will either have an open convention or coronation of Harris as the nominee. How that will play out is anyones guess.
Oh boy, here we go. This is either gonna be really good, or really bad.
It’s possible the convention delegates unite behind someone. It’s also possible chaos ensues at the convention. Or that they pick an amazing candidate or a completely awful candidate. So what happens next is anyones guess.
