Featured Contracts October 20th, 2022 - Halloween

So relateable, I spend hours on trains too and they should put wifi routers for the passengers to use, god damn it.

Damn shame that you havenā€™t gotten some featured, your contracts are certainly up to (and probably over) the standards

Agree, but some players might be bored as it would be easy.
I thought of putting Constant - knight+sword but that would be too hard for most of the players or thought of removing the sword for the guards and that would be too easy. No Pacification would make speedrunners happy but general players sad.
Weapon lure one of the guard downstars is one of a solution I mention which might help.
I also thought of a player in far end of the map but that would spoil routing and a long list of descision and analysis.

I looked up the all the existing FCs and discovered no knight on any of them. Thanks to Count.Rushmore work , there is an excel in a thread which has list with complication.

Lastly, I believe FCs must be totally based on playerā€™s psychogy (Thanks to Urben, there is a guide on playerā€™s psychology - I read that).
If you want the contract featured, I believe - you even need to submit contract which you dont like but feel most types of players may like it.
And the theme briefing and screenshot also plays important part here.

Nope, hard disagree, purely distracting 2 targets with a back stab, quite easy, hardest was Perfect Organism, hard, but fun.

@Switcher i got some things with this FC i made, just to clear any negatives (hopefully anyway!)

  1. It is intended to show players were a shotgun and Rolf is on the map, thatā€™s why heā€™s a target
  2. When i made the contract i never intended it to be featured so i never got round to polishing it up (i thought i did, but i was mistaken, sorry)
  3. It was made to be a sweet deal for every (most) type of players:
    ā€¢New players
    ā€¢Returning players (They might need some practise)
    ā€¢Casual players
    ā€¢Speedrunners

This ainā€™t an attack on your opinion Switcher, just me letting people in on the intended ways to play.

I donā€™t think that having Rolf as a target was the issue, but pacifying him, wearing his disguise and only then killing him is unnecessary, and being honest I smuggled a silenced shotgun, still got 2:07 which isnā€™t great but Iā€™m fine with it.

Nice of you say but I know there are definitely a number of creators better than me. Thereā€™s only like a handful of mine I genuinely love but Iā€™d like to think Iā€™ve been improving over the months and years. Maybe Iā€™m too hypercritical of my own work, though? :man_shrugging:

So I played them all, hereā€™s what I think.

  • Hitman in the Iron Mask: Very fun, I played it a few times to try different things and perfect my timing. Exits were a bit too far, but sadly there isnā€™t much that could be done in that regard. 4/5
  • The Haunted Mansion: A good contract by itself, but I felt like I already played that ā€œvariation on killing all the Carlislesā€ dozens of times before and it wasnā€™t that much different from the other similar contracts. 3/5
  • American Psycho: I really dislike falling object kills and doing one on a mission target, who doesnā€™t go near a falling object by herself, was pretty annoying. The other targets were fine though. ā€œNo disguise changeā€ complication would probably have added a lot of flavor, but also made it a lot harder so maybe it was fine as it is. 3/5
  • Hirsch (Harsh) Uprising: It was alright but didnā€™t feel very Halloween-ish. I also didnā€™t get why the DJ was a target. Kinda reminded me of ā€œBoom Stickā€ but a lot easier since you can bring a silenced shotgun. Could probably have used an extra target or two for the whole impersonating Hirschmuller thing. 3/5
  • Jeffā€™s Nightmare: I didnā€™t like it much. Regular Hokkaido is one of my favorite maps but I hate Patient Zero, itā€™s just a tedious Colorado 2.0 guardfest and there are basically zero options for starts and stashes. Also thereā€™s probably some movie reference in that briefing but Iā€™m not getting it. Played it twice, once by infiltrating the targetā€™s room and once by just hiking up the mountain and shooting him from there. 2/5
  • The Vengeance of Count 47: Decent contract, felt a bit generic but the flavor is there. The complication was pretty useless as there arenā€™t any cameras in the area, something like ā€œdonā€™t get spottedā€ would probably have been a better fit. 3/5
  • Perfect Organism: Very good, flows quite nicely although that guard on the first floor is kinda out of the way (and I sent him really further out of the way by sickening him lol). Played it twice, once as Neon Ninja (really good contract for that suit) and once as Flamingo (the ultimate life form). 4/5

Glad you enjoyed it. Tried to make the targets all over the facility but not too far out, which is why heā€™s kinda near the exit. I had another target there originally, but I much prefer the guard since you can kill him without anyone even realising!

Itā€™s definitely my favourite of the contracts Iā€™ve made, so Iā€™m happy to hear positive feedback from people!

Been there, man. I was so rushed one time, I hit publish without changing the disguise and kill restrictions. It completely altered the story and flow I had (and kind of gave the game away in a couple cases). Anyway, at least you never published and submitted a contract called ā€œLifeguards Off Duyā€ā€¦ :sweat_smile: :face_vomiting: :joy:

Somehow the 1:39 was even crazier, the boost was higher and I ruined the exit, 1:38 is possible
