Elusive targets, reruns/new?

None. I would imagine that multiple brand new ETs could be produced under the budget of what is used to create a single CelebrET and would prefer that instead. However I do realise that the reason we’re getting CelebrETs is because you want to draw new people to buy the game (and sell DLC to the existing playerbase). So it probably wouldn’t happen.

ONLY if they give it a Landslide/The Icon treatment and redo the whole Flamingo Hotel and have rooftop party going on, as well as an explorable interior to the hotel would be over the top since the other areas would be out of bounds anyway. He could be a DJ… and yeah. Referencing his TV character would fit perfect! Also need a special EE. :pill: :hocho: (mask)

We’re probably not on the same exact page, but same book with the Miami at Night idea/wish.

They redone Isle of Sgail, so now I can be reassured it’s not impossible that this could happen!

All, permanently. And obviously even the Wildcard

Chuck Norris, Giancarlo Esposito, an italian actor like Pierfrancesco Favino, Rowan Atkinson, Arnold Shwarzenegger, Steven Seagal

  1. The Wildcard (Garey Busey). Never got to play him because he only showed up once.
  2. The Warlord (Nne Obara). It’s a good challenge because it’s hard to access the top floor of Bangkok with all the guards, and I believe the target/her bodyguard is a full enforcer for all disguises.
  3. The Prince (Frederico Candelaria). The Sapienza church being completely locked down makes accessing it quite difficult, in a fun way.
  4. The Surgeons. I have a soft spot for the Hokkaido white yukata. Love that thing. More people should be allowed to have it.

Celebrity ideas:

  • Rupert Friend & Timothy Olyphant & David Bateson: Across The 'Sassin-Verse!

  • Jean Reno & Natalie Portman (cmon I bet you have the money :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

  • Generally actors that are known for criminals*, this seems to be a good list, though not everyone is alive anymore. https://www.imdb.com/list/ls059507712/
*but who are themselves no criminals pls

  • Danny Trejo as Sanchez :hitman_2: :joy:

  • Do some crossover with your upcoming 007 game. Some bad guy that dies early off-screen there? Make that an ET!

Question 1: Honestly I like most ETs that do not take place in Paris. A great campaign location, never vibed with it for extras though.

Question 2: Lionel Messi , preferably as a Multi mission elusive like Sean Bean was. I can see it taking place in, Mendoza, Miami and Maldives.

That’s honestly a really good idea. I want this, please do this IO.

  1. It would be great if the Chef and the Prince can make a return. Paris and Sapienza are both incredible maps, so it would be very cool to see these old targets return.

  2. As for new elusive targets I have two suggestions:

    1. John Wick (Keanu Reeves)
    2. Post Malone

The first one is quite obvious, so i won’t get into detail for John Wick. My second suggestion however maybe needs some explaining. Post Malone is a huge artist with a lot of fans around the world. He is the 5th most streamed artist in the world right now and has a total of 45 billion
streams on Spotify. He has a lot of big hits in multiple music genres and is easily recognisable due to his face and body tattoos (This would also make him standout as an elusive target) Not only is Post Malone a musician, he is also a gamer. He posted a comment on a video of a big Hitman YouTuber a couple of years ago. This means that he is familiar with the franchise. Also, Post Malone strikes me as the type of guy that would be down for this type of thing. I mean, he has his own skin in WWE 2K24, which is actually insane to think about and quite hilarious. On top of that, we have yet to see an actual musician as an celebrity elusive target (The drop is a DJ )

I really think that this could be an amazing elusive target that can also draw a ton of new people to the Hitman franchise.

The Prince and The Pharmacist would be nice to have back.

As for new ETs… maybe Doja Cat. She references the game in one of her songs and she played the game on a live stream before

I want him because I don’t like him whatsoever, so seeing 47 make the perfect shot would make me content :joy: Either that or Jim Carey because I can’t stand him either haha

I think for celebrity ETs, it’s probably best to think of a situation that either fits the map or could fit the map and then someone who is appropriate and achievable. A pirate or other type of sailor would be a good pick for Ambrose, so perhaps either someone who is either known for being in that role (like Rhys Darby) or someone who would just fit it (like Willem Dafoe).

As others have said, Ambrose, New York, and Haven probably should get priority since they don’t have one.

A bank robber would be a good fit for new York, and you could even give them a team with you trying to stop them before they rob the back and escape with whatever is in the vault. Could have you stepping in the role of the swat team that enters from the fire exits, or perhaps infitrate the team to get close to the leader.

As for Haven, that could be an excellent fit for a Bond related hit. Perhaps even have a character who is Bond in everything but name, who is a deadly secret agent and will be onto you pretty quickly. However his soft spot for Martinis and women could be his downfall… As for the celebrity? That’s an easy one. Brosnan, of course.

Same, officially, but I have played it with mods.
Nothing impressive. I would even say disappointing.
Same as The Twin strictly speaking, except another Gary could be harmed (killed, knocked out, whatever).
I liked The Twin better, don’t know why, maybe because of the route. But they even have similar routes if I remember correctly.
Technically you can say that The Wildcard is the copy of The Twin

Hello,
To the questions:

  1. None
  2. None
Summary

I came to Hitman 3 during year 2. So I was not there during Hitman 1 or Hitman 2. The first ET that I played was Colorado - The Chameleon. I got to the whole trilogy during The Appraiser Y2. I knew about ET before and thought it was an interesting way to make new targets.
In Y3 I was killing ET usually as rate of Silent Assassin, failing The Entertainer and missing The Drop.

With the arrival of the new ET (The Drop) I thought it was great, but then I started thinking about ET as such. It’s a local problem, a puzzle that usually has one fastest solution, sometimes caused by the design itself (The Liability) But as soon as someone “solves” ET and finds the fastest way to kill him (sometimes even by using a glitch/cheat) then there is nothing to solve.

And that’s where the challenges could start. But they are not and cannot be part of ET, because it is a one-time thing. As ETs are more complex, I would rather welcome the form of a classic mission, either in the form of a special assignment from Hitman 2 or Sarajevo Six or Patient zero. For example, The Warlord and The Ex-Dictator could work together as one big mission in Bangkok. Even if it was sold for money.

I understand why ETs were made the way they were and that they will draw players back to the game because it is an event. However, it was The Drop where I saw how people killed Alexios on the first day and that was all. I was walking around Berlin and thinking. I ended up doing nothing and just let ET be.

It will be great if IOI considers opening for contract mode - A Bitter Pill.
It is a small map, and it seems like there aren’t many changes, but it is different, and there is also one oil drum.

Honestly, I think that celebrity targets is a waste of time, money and effort, instead of paying for a celebrity i think you could make 2-3 regular targets, I can’t imagine how much you paid Connor for example, it’s fun, but i would rather have 5 brand new targets every six months, rather than 1 celebrity target per year.
just a thought

Sadly its highly likely they’re not making the CelebrETs with the main goal to produce something new. Its more likely that the goal is to create something so it draws new people into buying the game - and allows for DLC to that they can sell to existing playerbase.

ETs have been reduced to being a way farm revenue.

That is so true, just for making money but not fulfilling the game content.

Comparing H3 to the previous games (H1 and H2), H3 is a desert of content; we don’t have any new missions or game modes after Year 2.

Those CelebrETs are only an excuse for selling more and more low-effort-and-low-quality DLCs…

Some DLC Suits aren’t suitable for 47, they just do not match with each other. And the The Disruptor items are simply reskinned and useless.

Not to mention, that money then gets used to pay for the next celebrity, instead of paying for more people or more time for the existing people to work on the game’s issues.

(I’ll admit this is an assumption, I have no knowledge of how IOI’s internal economy is set up to function)

Wow I cant believe that feature introduced for the sole purpose of getting people to buy into an episodic DLC model instead of waiting for the full experience is reduced to… a feature for the sole purpose of getting people to buy into an episodic DLC model

ETs were ALWAYS a cynical FOMO ploy, keep in mind the feature started with them telling you “they will NEVER come back, better buy the Hitman: The Full Experience season pass without seeing gameplay of the other levels in order to play these before they’re gone!” I can’t believe people have gotten so contrarian or just ignorant of history they are longing for the days were ETs were shat out on a weekly basis, were bugged to shit and went away after 48 hours into a Disney vault because they were created to justify an always online season pass in fucking 2016

At the very least when an ET comes out even if it’s a celebrity we dont have to spend years demanding it come back, like the Wild Card. The current model is a billion times better: you dont need to get Silent Assassin to get the unlock, it has same-day Arcade support and is available for the whole month usually for free for Starter Pack owners. This still isnt consumer-friendly by Ross’ standards (thumbs up to whoever gets the reference) but it’s way better than the prior two games’ handling of it

Because the game is done, this is them sunsetting the game. They gave us a free new map, are still putting out new ETs, two free new game modes one of which is practically a new game which adds way more playability to even the old H1/H2 maps and have been putting out free support in the form of unlocks, getting involved with the community in the form of Curated Contracts, patching the game and adding new ETs for a three year old single player game running on a new-decade old formula

How much support did Blood Money get in 2009? How about Silent Assassin in 2006? My problems with H3 are mostly that level design wise it was a bit tired and unambitious compared to its predecessors but in terms of its support? Freelancer and The Disruptor are way better than a billion escalations in H1 or the mere six ETs of H2

Now does this excuse buggy and mediocre content? A lack of communication? No! But let’s get real: this is way more than we deserve considering Hitman is a niche franchise and this stuff is just a stopgap the interns are working on because 007 is probably a couple years away

I’m of the opinion ofc. that the Fixer should come back, as well as one’s like the Angel of Death and The Forger. Hell even bringing back The Congressman and The Guru could be neat for shits and giggles. I wouldnt mind playing the ET versions of the Patient Zero targets or The Brothers ET

As for celebrities? First one that comes to mind is Keanu Reeves in a level like Chongqing or Mumbai, but I also think that someone who is a celebrity within the community like BigMooney, RTGame or CallMeKevin would be an amazing pick. Maybe CJGarof too? In terms of celebrities I wouldve liked but cant now Gilbert Gottfried and Norm Macdonald I think wouldve made amazing ETs: because imagine reworking the Berlin stage to make it a stand up set

Yet on the flip side, Hitman 2016 and Hitman 2 didn’t have 4 years of additional content added to them unlike Hitman III. Freelancer was added to the game as thank you to fans and ultimately, IOI couldn’t get much bigger than that in terms of new game modes for Hitman III. Not to mention, we’re still getting new stuff added to Freelancer, which is also about to occur in the upcoming roadmap.

Totally agree with that! :+1:t2:
