Not too many ideas for this, but I’m thinking I might have her fall off the building (either outside or inside). Depending on the route, I might see if I can lure her to a guard-rail-less area, transition from a melee kill to physics taking over, if you catch my drift…
(could be finally my first time trying out the ICA Combat Axe. Just realized I’ve never used it before)
I went in blind (and in VR)… I wanted to do ‘no restarts’… but she caught me off guard and blew my cover! (So I did what most players wish they could have and decked her )
After that, I knew I wanted to go with the ‘loud machine gun’ approach and pulled off a pretty successful hit, luring her out of her comfort zone and into my crosshairs.
Here is my failed attempt for Suit Only/Silent Assassin/4 Stars Only/Body Found/Target Eliminated by placing the Banana Peel @ the edge of the lift shaft.
After watching it again, it looks like the body got caught on the lip of the lift shaft & her body got stuck in it & the body did not immediately fall down? . The body disappeared/glitched through the floor even when the camera shows body found WTF
This risk never payed off . 1st time ever getting 4 stars. Epic Fail! Oh the Shame Agent 47…
VR looks so awkward. Is it difficult to control simple motions?
I’m definitely getting better, gun battles used to be an absolute nightmare for me. You aim by raising your PS4 controller and your visibility is limited to what you can actually see in front of you. Abilities like holstering items and running and gunning take a while to get a hang of.
The experience is visually pleasing, but when I watch the footage afterwards, my head movements make it a bit wonky at times.
Playing isn’t impacted, but it’s the footage that suffers from my PS4 cameras placement compared to where I am sitting and looking at it.
This is quite hard to miss, but she is actually an ICA Sanctioned Target.
It’s interesting how this places ETs in the timeline.
I’m assuming that all ETs take place before the game proper/alongside it in a parallel canon, unless some of these take place after the main WoA story when 47 and Diana have started work again and the ICA signs we see are actually a new ICA Diana established in that year. Or Diana’s intel is just noting that Moretta was on ICA’s hitlist before the shutdown and just hadn’t a chance to pass it on to an agent.
I think that’s just design flair. That effect happens for all the H3 targets briefings.
But, I guess it could be true in a parallel universe scenario?
Probably all ET missions do, but this ET definitely takes place in a parallel universe.
“The Ascensionist” and “On Top Of The World” mission both happens at the inauguration of the Burj Al-Ghazali, but they cannot occur alongside each other because of the main story and the changes made to the ET mission.
Same, lol. I missed her second routine upstairs the first time, it was a nice surprise honestly. I forgot my briefcase with the emetic grenade inside by an elevator, but by the time I finally realized she was in the penthouse and nabbed a guard disguise I went for broke. Managed to divert attention of her ‘little buddy’ long enough as they looked at paintings to take a chance (syringe as well). Still, this et actually had my heart going for a while there (thought I lost her and the game glitched, heh) and had to re-think a few approaches quickly, which definitely hasn’t happened during the last handful of et’s. Kudos to them for using a larger area of the map with a roaming target on this one.
Good thing I like a bit of a challenge because my god is it a short window to kill her if you aren’t paying attention… At least for me.
I kind of love how deeply lore- and roleplaying-centric folks like you are. It’s the breadth of playerbase, and the way the game caters to both casuals and pros, that makes this series great.
I enjoyed and was invested in the WOA story, but plot holes and whether a sin-mission makes sense just don’t bother me. But it’s cool that there are players who take that sort of thing seriously.
I just like to smuggle 7-foot swords in homing briefcases and smack guards and dinner guests with fish. All while keeping SA of course! Wearing the Raver suit to the Paris Fashion Show doesn’t seem “illogical,” it just seems fun and dumb.
Hitman: banana peels and sniper rifles. Have at it folks.
Uh… thanks? Not sure if that’s a compliment or not, but I’ll take it as one.
Yeah, I get a bit pedantic with my knowledge of, and how I play, this series. Guilty.
It is on all ETs yes, but this is the first one to say “ICA Sanctioned target”. The rest from The Iconoclast to The Procurers were all about a certain Ashley Lowe an Influencer.
Oh, interesting. Nice catch.
Wow, this was tricky, with the NPC layout from the Dubai story mission tweaked in ways that made lots of the ‘usual’ tried-and-true access routes for Dubai much less of a gimme than usual.
RIP-ed my Silent Asssassin ranking very early doors by accidentally dropping a winch on the head of Lucy Phillips (when I meant to pick up the pistol of a knocked-out guard instead), but we roll with the punches in #TeamNoRestarts and I was able to take out the target with a knife to the throat in what would otherwise have been a nice SA run. Still, The Ascenionist is down and not up, and that’s all that matters!
Yikes.
Was that the winch with the chandelier near the Black Gold Bar area? That makes a lot of noise. I wonder why any bodies didn’t get found.
Or, does accidental kills against non-targets still count as accidents? I thought that wasn’t the case.
Yep, it was that winch, the one by the mezzanine area overlooking the private bar where Lucy and Cornelia drink at during the normal story mission.
Not quite sure how accident kills on non-targets work for Body Found purposes, but this was my detailed score screen:
I took my sweet time with this one, enjoying the story and changes to the map, as well as just how gorgeous and intricate this level is, before finally giving in to temptation and taking the target out.
After making my way up the tower and becoming the chef, then rat poisoning her companion to trigger her evacuation, I distracted her important getaway with the promise of a shiny, ringing half a dinari, which she walked all the way to the ledge to check out. I kicked her all the way down, panning the camera to watch the long, satisfying fall, her purple pants shrinking into the distance. Fuckin loved it.
PS The guards’ discussions of art and readings of literature are amazing.
