Good eye! I thought it was frosted glass door with a hallway on the other side.
Also, how come no one has mentioned the “elevators”? LOL Sorry for bring it up.
From the different articles:
Finally, IOI introduced a “function” to the camera for the legacy missions. So, we need to bring the camera to the previous mission and playing the photograph
“And as part of the World of Assassination, the camera is being retrofitted into the legacy missions, which include new photography challenges.”
As a fan of Pokemon Snap for N64, I approve these challenges
Those Interviews are hard to watch sometimes…
Q: Do you think Agent 47 has ever tried to scan the Barcode on his Head, as far as you know?
A: I cant disclose that Information.
Q: Is there an Agent 48?
A: Presumably, I’d think so.
Someone should replay the original Game.
I mean that’s how most writers write. It’s not ideal but still.
Most writers usually try to plan out a rough outline with basic details on world, characters and such or at least that is how I have been taught since grade eight. Most writers shouldn’t go: “Fuck it I will make it all up as I go along”. What Vogt said makes a lot of what has happened over these three games make a lot of sense in retrospect.
A lot of writers make it up as they go. Within the community, it’s called pantsing. Most writers use a bit of both pantsing and plotting.
There’s a trope for that.
because IOI forgot how to make them and by rhe way zoomers dont use elevators that why they dont understand if see them in game
i dont think you guys understood what the article was trying to say. the story went how it was planned to go, but the minute details weren’t set in stone from the beginning.
it isn’t “making up as they go”, it’s just… not planning every single tiny detail in the story from the beginning.
the way it works is that the Chief creative director thinks of an idea in his head, and he plans it all out. after he gets his rough idea, he meets with the lead writers (Vogt and Price) to discuss how the story is gonna play out and what the tone and goal is.
after that, Vogt and Price work out the smaller, finer details. they write the details of the story, and the creative director keeps it on track.
There was a Agent 48 on the Hitman Movie from 2015.… I still don’t know if the movies, books and comic counts to the canon or not.
Oh I understood the article mostly because Ochoa quote mined the quote for a joke. I am just saying that this is one of those instances where writing by the seat of their pants in places has hurt the main story.
i dont think we can really know whether or not that affected the story, right? unless Vogt tells us exactly what was going on in his head at the time… whether or not the memory juice was planned since 2016 or he thought of it on the toilet. we dont know so i dont see a point in assuming
Haven’t read the comic or the books but thank god the movies don’t count.
Well I mean things like the memory juice make a lot more sense to me when I know that the main writer has opted to wing it in certain parts or work backwards while writing.
There is a time and a place to go “Fuck it, let’s freestyle” and an intricate conspiracy thriller spread over three parts in an established series is not the place for it.
He is talking about Codename 47 it ends with 47 minigunning down a gaggle of 48 series clones.
Damnation is okay but also sometimes very boring, the other book I can’t even remember. The comic which I got from IOI for creating an IOI Account is awesome, I surely recommend that… so I also knew what was 47’s past before H2 was released and understand Grey a little bit better.
Edit:
The comic counts to the canon:
eh, writers almost always wing it in some capacity, so i would always assume that they wing certain details. and for a game where the story is not a selling point, i would assume it even more so.
True but like I said I think there is a time and a place and having a plan to fall back on is a good thing. Like a roadmap, you might not have to use it but you never know when you take a bad turn.
Honestly this phrase rubs me the wrong way every time I see it, I feels like levelling creatively to me. I can see why many support it but I do know this world can be used to tell a good story IO just have it at the right angle yet.
