DARTMOOR, England (Mission #2) - Location Discussion

I have to clarify: bottom left of the map. Top left is Gregory and Emma’s room, top right is Zachary’s room, bottom right is Rebecca’s room. The entrance is in bottom left.

the speech Alexa gives before commiting suicide is honestly depressing and made me genuinely sad

Just completed the Murder-Mystery, I’m so disappointed we couldn’t accept Alexa Carlisle’s offer to kill the murderer. I really thought the murderer was about to be a surprise optional target.

I’m really curious to see how the later mastery unlocks that allow you to start after the family has already gathered impact the speedrunning and contract creation communities. It’s neat to see IO doing something different, but I can see where there might be some ruffled feathers by something that alters/quickens the level in a way like that.

knowing you will be killed, and even be fine with it. I believe you would still shout when thrown of a building. It’s called fear…

Sweet Home Thornbridge Manor!

With the skies deathly Grey!

Sweet Home Thornbridge Manor!

Zach I’m coming home to slay!

Sweet Home Thornbridge Manor! (Oh, sweet home!)

Where our lives are so blue! (Dear, my cousin is you!)

Sweet Home Thornbridge Manor! (Lordy!)

Alexa’s coming home to you! (Yeah, yeah!)

Montgomery was my father!

Video of all possible investigation endings. If you lie that Zach committed suicide and reveal that her brother Monty loved her and wanted to leave the estate to her, Alexa will be so guilt-ridden that she jumps to her death. She’s rapidly becoming my favourite target.

If anyone knows, can you still request and retrieve the case file from Alexa in the latter two endings?

If you solve it properly (saying Emma did it) she offers you a reward. You are given an option for cash or one for the casefile. If you chose casefile then she just gives it to you.

It took me 48 minutes to do a blind run murder mystery.

That was incredible.

I encountered something weird.

I did the detective mission story and left the top office with the documents and target dead. I accidentally wandered in the opposite room that is trespassing for the detective disguise. When I was in there, or at least a few steps, I get an Intel marker on the map and in my view when looking in it’s direction. It says “Identify the Maelstrom” and was located just outside the building on ground floor, near the kitchen. Together with the radio noise on Diana’s last line I thought this is something to check out. But there was nothing and the marker vanishes once you leave the top floor room.
I am not sure if this is a bug.

Don’t worry, that’s just the ghost of the Maelstrom haunting you after Mumbai, nothing to worry about here.

I wonder what the private room in third floor is, turns out it’s just the room for Alexa to blow off her steam.

I got that too! Confused me so much.

You can request it on every ending, no matter who you pinpoint as the culprit. She has a different reaction every time, but always gives it to you.

I was wondering, has anyone encountered the kukri knife or hunting rifle on the map? Given they´re both unlocks in the level, they would also be quite appropriate to find here (the rifle for obvious reasons, the knife as a memento/trophy from the old Empire days). The scopeless rifles in the gun cabinet aren´t usable, and the intro shows a guard wielding the rifle (or is it the shotgun? can´t tell due to the blur…), but I haven´t bumped into him anywhere as of yet…

I am on the Colorado defence force and don’t think levels need to be vibrant, colourful or places I’d want to be in order to like the map.

But boy is this map colourless and drab. I like the design of the map but my eyes are craving something other than grey sometimes.

Think it’s my least favourite mission and map with an obvious exception but I do still like this one.

They had to sell the idea that the level is indeed set in the UK :stuck_out_tongue:

They could have just had an npc be transphobic

First time playing Dartmoor this morning, love the scenery and setting, very Belingford Manor esque.

Only thing I think I’d change with this location is I feel like it needs an extra target? I know you have the second objective, but still feels like there could be more.
