Ask HMF anything

It’s a 32gb Kingston USB stick.

It pretty much died when I created a new folder in it. Used it to backup software, game save files and some other things related to some projects of mine.

Seems Kingston doesn’t have official recovery tool, and this is quite bad if you ask me.
But the best advises I could find are here:

You may try

Tried it, along with multiple other similar software and none of them recognizes the USB, though the one you linked me does notify me that I plugged it in / out the defected stick, it just doesn’t show up in the list…

Welp, I might be screwed. I had a backup with all my saves for ~30 games that I played throughout the years. The H2SA save for the walkthrough I was working on was there so that’s gone along with other things. Shit…

Knew everything but the name the moment I heard it. Nobuo Uematsu’s “Those Chosen by the Planet”, from Final Fantasy VII.

Something like hitmancontracts.org (.com is a redirect to hitman.com) or hitmancontracts.us.
Would love to finally see a good website for those. Bonus if the contracts are searchable (like «number of targets» or even by targets name, location, kill methods, difficulty, …) and if there’s a possibility to rate the contracts.
I was actually toying around last week with something like that. But only the rating part and not the search part.

I’m still developing, but the list will be searchable for sure, I’ve already thought of that. The searchable elements for now are: ID, Platform, Location, Target Count, and Author. I might add a special part for featured contracts to be promoted.

About the rating part… Not sure if I can do that. This is the first project I’m doing on web.

Does anyone here uses Ashen suit alot? I was thinking about choosing my singature outfit for my SO runs, and I kinda like AS. Nice, simple, and good for every occasion.

What would you say are your most and least used items in HITMAN?

I’d say items like the HF Championship Bat (from Hokkaido) – who needs a non-concealable illegal Melee? – or the Explosive Compound are things I’ve never used, while things like Sedative poison I’ve often really enjoyed using these days.

As for me, I primarily use IO earphones, coins and ICA Chrome as default loadout and almost never use all other equipment if contract does not require it.
Breaching Charge I would call the most used item among all

I’m old school or at least I want to be so I use a lot of lockpick and fibre wire. When I’m not going H2SA style I use the exploding pen more than a lot of other gadgets. I try to find a way to only kill the target or maybe the target and one collateral damage person with it. Better if the other person doesn’t actually die, but more importantly no one can see me do it bc I want to exfiltrate without any one knowing who the killer was. It’s a fun bit of nonsense.

Least used would be anything edible. I took muffins once when trying the muffin hop trick. The others have never been taken.

I’ve never once taken the Meaty Bone with me in my loadout.

One of my favourite items tbh, I use it when I’m unable to bring a Kalmer or if I have a free spot in my loadout. Always comes in handy

Least used for me (that isn’t just a subpar reskin) is probably the RFID explosive. It’s such a niche item that I always find using a normal explosive more simple, reliable, and trustworthy

You’re missing out. Of all the non-lethal melee items this has the most satisfying sound effect when you thwack someone with it. You’ve got to check it out.

Most: lockpick
Least: RFID explosive, never actually used it

most: lockpick (not after I unlocked the mini dax smg)
least: emp charge

I’m curious why you don’t use it? To me it’s one of the most useful gadgets if I want to take out a camera box discretely or through a wall

It’s a bit tricky to use, you got to set the precision very good (as I recall) and you can just shoot that anyway
It does help you through the walls (in case of hostile areas) but in general (imo) it doesn’t worth a spot comparing to other useful tools you can use. Lockpick, door hacker thing, bat shuriken or kalmer.
