Hey there, thanks for your question . Could you provide some examples on what you describe me to be “bitter” and “negative”? Maybe I’ll be able to explain a little more in depth regarding those. But for the moment, I’ll talk generally. For the record, I have always loved Hitman and remains to be one of my all time favourite franchises, back when I was first introduced to Silent Assassin on PS2. I always look at the negatives in the product, because to me that’s what turns something from good to great. Nothing gets done if you sit in an echo chamber of biased praise with no criticism. It’s not to bring down a product but how to improve it; to criticise something mainly because I love it and want it to be even better.
I’ve given this Hitman series credit where it’s due, mainly the graphical fidelity, attention to detail, map designs, AI NPCs and programming. However it had made many step backs and still to this day is missing key Hitman features such as Dual Wielding, Human hostages, ammo types, player weapon and outfit freedoms, weapon customisation, working elevators etc.
So there is really nothing I could really add or I’d be repeating myself lol. I still think the overall content is lackluster - it’s better but also remember the stuff we have is 3 years of games. A lot of reskins, not much variety for a sandbox game.
That’s not to say I haven’t enjoyed the games - they’ve been great, I’ve really enjoyed finding some of the Easter Eggs and having a community wide search. But they could be even better. So I wouldn’t say I’ve changed at all because:
I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a Hitman game. Just been true and critical to the product.
All my current points since 2016 are still existing - apart from the cameras being updated, finally getting a rain map 5 years later and made escalations somewhat less of a bore.
Oh nah lol, I don’t think I’ve changed my attitude towards my concerns of the game. I’ve written extremely long posts back in 2016 and years later on the game’s shortcoming and would write them exactly the same way today. They aren’t attacking anyone not do I feel that should ever be used. And that goes for the far majority of my posts, I simply don’t frequent as much here anymore. I get my world/national Hitman records and that’s about it these days.
As for the 1000 year ban, if you really want to know, I explained why Anthem was a failure.
I’m looking for a good quality image of a certain graffiti in Berlin, the one with the girl and the pink/white background. I would like to use it as a 2D piece and a shot with ansel would be perfect for that.
Hi everyone. I’m gonna have to make a website as a class project, and yet decided it to be about Hitman but not sure what about it. Do you have any idea of a useful thing about it? Hitmaps and Hitman Status turned out to be great thanks to @MrMike and @Hardware, mine might too. The only idea I got for now is an encyclopedia in all aspects of Hitman.
well, it wouldn’t be a traditional wiki like with just paragraphs of plain text. I mean, it would be an interactive timeline that you’d scroll through to understand the story. but that’s probably too complicated
The most useful thing I think the community could have that we don’t already, is a place to store and share contracts. Where we can like them, comment on them, upload custom thumbnails, stuff the community has been asking for for ages
But that’s far too much work for a first time website. I recommend dreaming small and manageable, not dreaming too big and being upset when you fail
Also an encyclopedia is much more what the wiki is, so don’t get why you shot down v1deo’s idea The lore isn’t that well explained in-depth on the wiki tbf
I have no words to describe my happiness right now. GREAT idea.
That may make it a bit complicated. But I myself can do the thing with data from here, as Hitmaps is. One-sided, but still up to date. But another question from you: In which way should they be sorted? By user? Location?
That’s not what a programmer do till he got stack overflow and w3schools
I never did tbh, sorry if my words implied that, @v1deost. I was just trying to say that if I would go for the story, an encyclopedia consisting of the story might be better.
Just kidding, but I hope IOI realizes during testing that they should tone the bloom down a bit if it proves to be even more distracting with raytracing. Or better yet, let us turn it off, for Christ’s sake.
