Oh wow, that’s a lot of reuses I did not notice at first! For me, the most egregious one of them all are the Berlin MC boxes in their warehouse. They still have the Ark Society logo Imprint on them!
I wonder if there would be a cutscene at the end of the mission, like there was with New York and Haven. Seeing that we’re probably not getting any new lore content for a while, it’ll probably recontextualize Hitman 3 as a whole. Maybe it’ll show the Mystery Man manipulating everything or reveal that Hall freed Edwards or something.
To be fair the barret guards from Dubai and low tier guard’s in Chongqing are wearing completly different outfits. The Dubai guards are wearing the Sgáil outfits, while the Chongqing guard has the standard security guard shirt.
I want to know if there is a reprise of Florida Man at Ambrose Island. He has been very active lately in the news feed. He has gotta be in Ambrose Island.
A bit off-topic, but… the fuck is up with that last one??!
“I’m defending myself, you know,” Nix said. “I was fearing for my safety, and the chicken died.”
“I didn’t know to give it a 21-gun salute,” Nix said. “CPR, mouth-to-mouth, you know? Or call the chicken ambulance?!”
“Next thing you know, he calls the chicken police on me,” Nix said. “Chickens die every day people – at Churches, Popeyes and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Really.”
I don’t know if coconut-ball-selling Florida Man would be the type to wind up on a Pirate Cove island, but we’ll see
Yea but that’s part of hitmans charm. He also fits in without issue in all the cult levels in H2SA and as a Chinese triad in many levels and as a Malaysian security officer and as many things lol
Wait, what Sgail outfit is that?
Florida man might be caught choking someone’s chicken on Ambrose Island. Who knows? The writers at IOI are creative.
Was going to say the low tier Sgáil guard outfit, but that one does indeed looks slightly different. Thought the Dubai outfit was the same but in white.
This is expecting a wee bit too much from IO. Don’t get me wrong, I would have loved Mystery Man being part of WOA as much as the next guy, but it seems they somehow missed that opportunity.
MM being Providence would have been a great explanation of a two decade old franchise mystery, it fit almost too good, fans would have loved it… a layup they somehow missed! Oh well.
I’d say Mystery Man was probably just a herald, assigned to keep an ye on Ort-Meyer’s legacy.
so…working elevators could finally be in the cards!!?
If we just say Edwards was the Mystery Man does that contradict anything we know?
It would be a bit confusing. For one thing, the Mystery Man spotted 47 in Rotterdam during Codename 47. That would explain how he recognized him, but that would mean he knew Ort-Meyer lied to and betrayed him by releasing 47, and that would complicate matters. By then, Providence considered the cloning project a failure, and having any renegade clones running around would automatically put them on major alert status; maybe they helped the ICA figure out that Ort-Meyer was the shadow client, in order to have him killed, but that’s probably unlikely.
Most significantly though, why would he be working with Zavorotko? What possible reason would there be, since by 2002, he was almost certainly Constant by then, meaning he could of just sent a herald, if Providence was actually interested in his little nuclear warhead scheme. The Mystery Man betrays Zavorotko by tipping his scheme off to the UN and advising him to take the suicidal decision of attempting to kill 47, so it’s clear he was working for an organisation, but who knows how long he would have worked with the man to be his personal advisor. That’s just not something Edwards would bother to do himself. If they really wanted to stop Zavorotko, Providence could have just hired 47 from the start. It only makes sense that the organisation the Mystery Man works for has no connection to the asylum at all.
Finally, there is of course the theory that the Mystery Man is Daniel Morris, who by 2020, was a worm’s salad, so that would debunk that theory. I mean, he does appear in Sniper Challenge as an easter egg, but I honestly have no clue when that’s set.
Working elevators can already be made I’m pretty sure it’s the AI that they said was harder to get working with those (elevators for the airport level
)
From what we’ve seen, the new map looks like a ‘greatest hits’ of Santa Fortuna, Mumbai and Haven, due to the shanty village/tropical island setting. The pirate lady also reminds me of Vanya Shah (who was also a pirate)
I guess it’s easier for IO to reuse these jungle assets rather than create a load of new snowy ones. It is free, after all, so I can’t complain.
And this will be the second mission where we have to kill a pirate leader that isn’t set on a boat of some kind. What’s going on there!?
Hokkaido, Siberia, Romania and whatever the ending cutscene uses is probably enough for an entire snowy sandbox map
What is that?
One of the cut locations for Hitman 2 (2018)
Oh my that first one… I guess it was the ship where 47, Diana, Grey and Olivia are? Damn that would have been so cool…
Edit: ah I see it’s a cruise ship. Damn even better!! I mean, how many levels does even a small cruise ship has? 5? Oh all the opportunities
