AMBROSE ISLAND, Andaman Sea (Mission #7) - Location Discussion

Does anyone know what they mean by this?

Finally, Contracts Mode is fully supported, allowing you to create your own missions to challenge your friends.

Found the last brazier, it’s down in the underground area near the satellite control unit, north of the camera recording station.

I know this isn’t really the forum for it but let me just get into some ethical complications involving a certain item…

From an emetic gas grenade with a poisonous frog trapped inside, to the swashbuckling Kukri Machete that is sharp enough to cut down to the bone, there’s a huge variety of pirate-themed items to get your fingers on.

That darn emetic grenade. Why is it worded that way? Is it like that in game?

Something makes my red-flag sensor go off at the idea of some sort of ā€œfrog squishing/frog entrapment grenadeā€ exploding or releasing some emetic gas. We really getting an item now that has a frog trapped inside the vial 47 can bring in or throw willy-nilly at anyone to make them sick.

Again, yeah, weird place to debate this, but I read that recently in the blog notes and… that’s definitely not an item I’d have expected 47 to have.

It’s made from frog juice :frog:

Should’ve saw it when it was lethal instead of emetic. It doesn’t make sense to me why it’s emetic since the lethal frog exists in Hitman already, I guess now there’s an emetic one.

What I have to do for the bridge assassination challenge?

Go to the ruins, switch off the computer by where Orsen patrols, then Credt will run over to check on it. Loosen the floorboards on the bridge and he will fall through and boom - challenge completed.

Ok, I’ve had to stop playing for now, but I’ll get back to it later. So far, all I’ve done is a little exploring and killing Crest. It was pretty easy; I just woke up the sleeping chef and spiked the bowl of food with emetic poison before she got there, then once Crest ate it and walked to the pier to puke, I just waited for his guards to turn their backs while I stood behind him (could they be more useless), then fiber wired him and put him in the container. Then I hopped the wall into the pirates’ territory and saved after hiding in the bushes and that’s where I stopped.

Honestly, the hardest part of that was trying to find some rat poison, took way longer than I expected. If there’s lethal poison on the Ambrose, taking care of Crest is going to be super easy in the future. Anyone know if there’s lethal poison on the island, or do I need to bring some along?

Onward to Akka when I load it back up. I’m gonna pistol execute her and then blow up the control unit. Bitch won’t know what hit her. :smirk:

Thank you, but I already managed it differently. In a funny way. I loosened the wooden boards. Then I waited next to this spot and shot Crest from there. He then followed me to the bridge while I hid in the bush (at the entrance/exit of the bridge). Then he ran over the spot where I had loosened the wooden boards and fell down.

so far im only on mastery 12 cause the amount of stuff to do

I got my silent assassin suit only on my first run

Yeah there are a few poison frogs, and you can also give the emetic flowers to a guy and he’ll give you a lethal poison.

Ah clever use of Crest having the AI of a guard! Nice work!

So I can confirm that the molotov can be used to get accident fire kills. The fire setting radius is larger than the explosion kill radius and as long as they are in only the fire setting radius it will count as an accident. Considering it’s an unlock it’s going to be a very op item unless they find a way to change it in a future patch. At least it’s illegal and has a collateral damage risk factor unlike the electrocution phone. Fire accident contracts are going to be broken now though.

Edit: I haven’t unlocked the mastery version yet so if that works different then that would be ideal imo.

If you give the student a frog, he turns it into a grenade.

He turns the lethal frog into an emetic bomb and the emetic flower into consumable lethal poison. I’m not sure but I believe that has been how that’s worked for a while. The type of poison changing, not necessarily the exact method of delivery they become. For some reason. :man_shrugging:

The illegal part will probably keep it just outside of op range. I’d worry more about the emetic grenade; if it’s the same as the one the student makes you, it’s not illegal (I believe).

Unless I’m doing something wrong, using the level 20 mastery Molotov cocktail on other maps doesn’t result in an accident kill.

Edit: I was doing it wrong. You have to throw it a bit away from the target for it be an accident.

Also, the new emetic gas grenade can be open carried, breaks immediately on impact, doesn’t lock onto an npc’s head when you’re aiming, and can be shot when set down on the ground. Seems like it will be slightly more useful than the other emetic grenades in some situations.

I uploaded it on YouTube.

EDIT: The challenge title is in german, because I don’t know how the challenge is called in english.

That just sounds wrong, lethal =/= emetic. Probably a bug.

Doesn’t sound like a bug, the student specifically says frog → emetic. Weird.

Turning a consumable lethal poison frog into a consumable lethal poison pills wouldn’t serve much purpose, and also reversing the lethality is likely a way to play against the players’ expectations
