Where did they promise this?

it’s not a spoiler. i’m only answering to his assumption

in a few places. here, for example

You have effectively stated that one level doesn’t have a 20 level mastery which isn’t common knowledge unless you have seen the trophy list which many haven’t

You will notice that says “Tracks” a term IO uses for the mastery progression for a level. Six levels plus eight levels plus six levels equals 20

Come on, it’s not exactly the same as saying something like 47 dies at the end or whatever

Some people have different standards on what a spoiler is. Just because it isn’t a spoiler to me or you doesn’t exclude it from being a major one for others.

no, the quote of Quinn I was replying to: “I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that Romania is the Hawke’s Bay of Hitman 3 - A smaller, shorter map with a more narrative purpose. Which, for the final showdown, is good.”

It’s not exactly “all locations have 20 mastery locations”, but I can see where you’re coming from. It says “rise through 20 mastery tracks” which seems to word it differently than we both remember otherwise.

Fair point

20character limit

I personally don’t want 5 maps and a half

Plus, they said 6 maps were 20 mastery levels

“20 mastery levels per location.”
I think that’s enough confirmation for me

It says tiers per level which again makes twenty if you consider the use of the word “tiers” to be a misnomer on IO’s behalf

I meant it would be a waste if it was a mandatory shootout, serving a purpose or not. In a trilogy that´s based on purely sandbox levels with multitudes of approaches, that would be a mistake I think.

Don´t get me wrong. I don´t need every map to be overwhelmingly large. Quite the contrary, I´m happy for the smaller ones and enjoy them equally, often even more (and I´ll defend Hawke´s Bay to death), but wasting it on a shootout? In this trilogy? No. Bonus non-sandbox epilogue a la Blood Money´s Requiem? Yes, sure. But a full level? No.
