I finished Season 2 of Carole and Tuesday today. Plot and pacing was shaky at times but the music was still really good.

Can someone please tell me the correct lyrics of the song champions of the wild side by Mindy Jones

Haven’t heard this in years but was in the mood for it. Rest in peace, Dark Man X.

Was talking to someone earlier about powerful live shows and of all the times I’ve got teary eyed at gigs. It’s happened a few times (Usually with MONO) but the one that stands out is seeing Envy, the Japanese screamo band, play in London in December 2019. They opened up with Chain Wandering Deeply and it absolutely did me in. I can’t remember having an emotional response like that at a show ever.

The part around the 4 minute mark where everything drops out and just a clean guitar remains. That whole section felt like it broke me into a hundred pieces and rebuilt me. I was full on ugly crying as it happened. By the end of the song I felt like I’d had an exorcism. Fucking amazing. I miss gigs

Marriages were a great band. Members of Red Sparrowes and Drab Majesty, fronted by the one and only Emma Ruth Rundle. Shame they’re unlikely to ever reuinite but they’ve all gone onto bigger and better things.

Kero Kero Bonito released a new EP: Civilization II

Coolest song is this new-age-house tune about preserving the environment. (which is what their Civilization series is all about)

Fun Fact: This was the first album Brian Wilson ever bought. Needless to say it is obvious he really took a shine to it.

Still holding out for the day we can get a Duke Nukem sequel that does for the series what the last 2 Doom games have done for the Doom franchise.
